FirstLook

Sourced market intelligence from just a URL.

  • Company URL in, sourced dossier out.
  • Built for when there’s no teaser, no CIM, and you need to get smart before the next call.

Why I built FirstLook
  • Seven years screening private companies manually: 1,000+ targets, 100+ deeper company profiles, and dozens of industries.
  • Manual was the only way to get it right. It also took hours per company.
  • General-purpose AI is fast, but on this work it often fails in predictable ways:
    • Misidentifies the company.
    • Misidentifies the owner.
    • Goes haywire on quantification.
    • Is inconsistent across runs on substance and formatting.
    • Treats weak sources as primary.
  • FirstLook is the system I wanted: deliberate identification, ranked sources, structured output, quantification only where it’s defensible.
